The Transformation: From Warehouse to Working Sets
Heritage Standing Sets began with the trusted foundation of Heritage Props, one of the most recognized prop rental companies in the Burbank area in Southern California. Founded by industry veteran Frank Uchalik, who has over 30 years of experience in the film and television prop world, Heritage Props quickly became a go-to source for high-quality medical and scientific props used in hundreds of productions. Known for our unmatched inventory and industry knowledge, we built strong relationships with set designers, art directors, and production companies seeking authenticity and reliability.
As demand grew not just for props but for ready-to-shoot environments, Frank saw a new opportunity. Productions needed more than just equipment—they needed film-ready spaces that could streamline the filming process and elevate scene realism. That’s when the idea of transforming our existing 21,000 square foot warehouse into something greater was born: not just a prop house, but a full-scale standing set rental facility.
What was once purely a prop storage and prep facility is now home to multiple standing sets that replicate real-life hospital environments, labs, waiting rooms, exam rooms, and more. Our Burbank-based warehouse can host up to six full standing sets at a time, each custom-designed to meet the needs of today’s fast-paced productions. These aren’t just static backdrops—they feature real working hospital beds, lighting, medical monitors, and customizable props pulled directly from our Heritage Props collection.
